Hello,
I've read through the manual and I seem to understand the basic implementation of the hair engine in Octane, which is cool.
I love the ability to influence the fuzziness etc of the render time hairs with the standard shader modifiers. But i've noticed that the colour and spec parameters don't come across...
Is there anyway for example to shade a hair with a ramp over it's length? Do you need UVs for this type of thing? It seems I can only really give each hair a solid colour...

Correct material usage is to put a octane material beside of hair material. Because hair material conversion does not involve all parameters. And octane does not support uv generation or gradients across strands. So no way to get this effect. Maybe on 3.0, don't know.
