Hi,

after updating I need to setup network render again and have some problems.

1.
I have on my slave 2 GPUs.
One GTX560 and one Titan-Z.
When I install daemon-bat I only want to use the Titan-Z.
Titan-Z is listed in system manager as 2 Titan-Z GPUs

In Install-daemon CMD is written:
... please keep default or enter a comma/space separated list...

I have no idear what I should type inthere

2.
Within Rendersettings of Octane-Standalone on the Master my
GPUs of the Slave are listed and running.
But in C4D Octane Rendersettings (extacly the same setting like in Standalone Prefs)
I get Name: unknown Status: unavailable

I've read all posts about network and cannot find a solution.

thanks

hi glimpse,

Thought, if I install all latest available Versions its fine, but now I see:

Plugin is latest: 2.23.1 rc4
Standalone is latest: 2.23.2

Hmmm, so the latest Plugin is based on 2.23.1
I'try to install Standalone 2.23.1

Thanks

And now?

And what do I have to type when installing deamon-bat
to unly unse my Titan-Z?

thanks

When you are asked which GPU the slave should use, you specify the indices of the GPUs you want to use. To find out the CUDA order of the GPUs, just launch the Standalone and go to File -> Preferences -> Devices. The numbering starts at 1. For example, if you want to use the 2nd and 3rd GPU you would enter "2,3" (without quotes) when install daemon.bat asks for the GPUs to use.

Hmmm,

unfortunately, now comes the disillusionment.
Slave GPUs are listed correctly and running, but they don't start to render.

A 7000px image needs about 1 hour 20min to render on my Master with 2 Titans.
So I thought another Titan-Z would be helpful. But...
For 26 minutes the Slave-Status is on "updating" and in MInute 27 the Slave stopped working.
"Detecting that heart beat of slave stopped ..."

For animation when a frame renders about 2 or 3 minutes, the slave never gets a
chance to start rendering.

So it seams, that Network-Rendering does not make much sense in my case, because the
upload/updating times are way to long.

But anyway! Thanks much for your support!

well,

Octane Slave stoppes rendering everytime right after uploading/updating.
I cannot get the slave to really take part of the rendering-prozess.

Is C4D-Teamrender able to render Octane Projects?
If yes - how do I setup this network?
In Teamrender Settings the Teamrenderclient is recognized.
But what to do from there?
How do I get the Teamrender-Client to render Octane?

Is there any workaround7Tutorial available?

thanks
