I just tried the new plugin from Allegorythmic which integrates substance designer into C4D.
I was very exited about it because it works immediately with Octane and basically without any tweaking.
Wow - that is really cool.

Really wow!

I couldn't tested yet. Where can we find some substances to test it?

The plugin delivers some samples but SD itself has lots of substances to test.

And it works fine with OctaneC4D materials ? I thought it just worked with C4D native material system, not octane materials to ???

It definitely works quite well. Been testing it for the last day. There are some tricks to getting the Octane material to work properly - and view correctly, especially with displacement. But overall, it functions pretty smoothly!

Do you have any resources for a proper workflow or are you just testing yourself? If so, what tricks are you talking about? :)
What about the PBR materials? Do they work as well?

Yes please more info... are we talking about: "yes a few materials are looking quite nice, but don't try a scratched brass or gold... resolution is not too bad.. well okay for a 1000$ indie-game-production" or are we talking about: "IT REALLY WORKS! and the quality is brillant!.. you can use it for highres still work as well" ;)
