I have a project that I was rendering with some render passes then I went to render a preview with no render passes but I I"m still getting a long freeze after the first frame is rendered. It only takes about a minute for the frame and then it says "Frame Finished" for about 2:30. I'm still using 2.22.2. Is this a bug or am I overlooking an option somewhere? I've unchecked everything in the Octane Settings Render Pass tab and in the Octane Render render pass tabs. I have saved consistently every few minutes. I'm running out of options. Has anyone else run into this?

OK. Good to know. The unit changes will probably take less time to fix than this render time. Thanks!

I have has a render "finished" without the completion of the frame but it did not survive a restart of C4D (and I went to R4).

Yeah, I spoke too soon. This is not working for me. I am getting the same hang on rendering. Half of the time, It freezes and requires a force quit of c4d and the other half of the time it just quadruples my render time. Unless I'm just being careless and looking over something, this doesn't seem like a stable release so far. I can't even get a couple of frames rendered. Everything is great until I get the "frame finished" in the output.

I guess I'll try uninstalling the new c4d update and reverting to the RC3 version.

I have misread you message. Though as you talk for render passes. But It's stable, but i think you are on limits for somethings. There is not differences in RC3 and RC4 for this.

I think you read correctly. I updated to the new R16.050 this morning so this could be the issue but according to the changelog for RC4, it should have support for R16.050. My issue and TonyBoy's are the same.

aoktar, any idea why my renders are taking 4 times as long with this new update?

Windows 8.1. These screenshots are from the start of an animation render, which is black for the first few frames. Notice how the frame renders in 19 sec. but the he render seems to finish then just sits on "Frame Finished" for about 1:45 before beginning the next frame. This is with no render passes at all.

Also, the only way for me to stop this render is to force quit c4d. Task Manager reports that Cinema 4d is (not responding) during render.
