We have a few ZOTAC GTX460 2GB cards and have not had any issues with them.
However if you want to purchase the expensive 580 model, i would recommend a brand like ASUS (probably best) or EVGA to be on the safe side.
I've purchased several high-end cards when they were released of ASUS and never had any issues, including a nearly 5 year old GTX8800 which still runs fine.

well there is a shortage of asus and evga in my region, zotac and pny seem to be the only readily available brands,

so my choice wld have to b btw zotac and pny, though i read some disturbing articule about a history of faulty capacitors in zotac cards
and other devices

may be ill just go with PNY.
