Otherwise I have to create a new Octane camera and align it and its target to the Max camera and target, and then adjust FOV, etc. to match. This simple feature would save all these steps
Create Octane Camera from View
I generally frame my scene in perspective view and then use Create Camera from View. It would be nice to have the option of creating an Octane camera from view (or converting a Max camera to Octane camera).

This is already possible. Same trick as all other rendering plugins with their own cameras. Drag out an Octane Camera anywhere you want just randomly onscreen. They, with the new octane camera still selected, press the same CRTL+C to make a camera as you would with a standard camera, and it aligns the new Octane camera to your current perspective view. Then just hit "C" to view it.
i use this script a lot
