Any UVW experts here? I need your help.
I'm trying to texture a chair model - but what I can't seem to solve is the edge of the "sitting part" that is some kind of plywood. I want to unwrap it so the plywood texture follows the edge just like this.
How the heck am I doing this. I want to unwrap that edge to a straight line which I easily can texture with this:
This is how the model looks.
Help me out please. Here's a link to the C4D-file!

I'm not a mapping guru (don't like that part the same as modeling), but some unwrap tools (maybe even all of those) do have straighten functionality =) so You can use that in order to staigten up unwrapped "ring" geometry & then place Your straight texture as You wish =)

Basicly I'm wondering - how you you unwrap a curved road that you want to texture "straight". The same problem. I'm going crazy.

Haha, Spent the night rebuilding the entire mesh on edges with the bridge tool. Could not use the sweep nurb in a usable way.everything wrote:Hello!

But when I'm doing UV stuff - I feel like I still don't understand anything at all how it works.
But this works for now.
