I'm looking for suggestions for a decent laptop solution with support for Octane. Anyone who has one of the listed options it would be nice to hear your review of them with Octane and 3D use in general.

Disclaimer: The laptops I post here I can not confirm will work with Octane. I'm merely compiling a list of possible solutions. I hope to confirm them from the community if possible

I think I'm going to compile a list of options:

Alienware m11x (base price $599 special as of 12/5/2010): http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-m11x/pd

I'm not sure about you, but I could never use an 11" screen for 3D work (or much of anything else). But then again, my eyes are getting worse as time goes on.

The following post might be able to offer some help:

Thanks. Good information. More research. I'm going to post as many recent laptop options as I can and go from there. The point of the smaller screen is to allow portability. I've done Blender, Photoshop and Web development work for 2 years now on a 12" screen with no problems.
