In Blender, you can cause a lamp to only light objects on its own layer.
But you can't use Blender lamps in Octane for Blender.
So how do you do cause a light source to only light objects on its own layer?
How to only light objects on same layer as light source?

OK, this can't be done in the Octane plug-in.
The only way to do this is to use Cycles.
