Hi,
When I try to import an obj file (add->objects->mesh) the import seams to be ok, but when I click the node nothing happens.
If I click in the render viewport nothing happens either, but after a few more clicks octane crashes...
The mesh is exported from blender...
Greetings Kolja

Hi, try the "Test Suite" from downloads first to test your octane.
I think you have the wrong export settings, look here:
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... 2&start=70
Octane customers get an export script for 2.49, 2.5 script is in development.
Cheers mib

No, that doesn't work either...
First I downloaded the recommended drivers and packs, but with that I couldn't even start octane. Then I installed the 3.2 drivers and was able to start the program.
But when load a file from the DemoSuite and click on the node nothing happens...
Then after a minute or so, octane closes and that's it...

Did you follow the installation tutorial video?
Also, before we can provide any help, we'd need the exact versions of your OS, eg 10.5.x or 10.6.x, and the exact driver versions you downloaded/installed.
Here's the installation video: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/demotutorial.html

Yes, I've done everything exactly as discribed...
But as I wrote before, if I user your recomended drivers, I've got the message, that no cuda capable device was found...
If I install the latest drivers (dev 3.2.17) and the latest toolkit (3.2.17) then octane starts.
But then I've got problems to render anything...
I'm running octane on a Macbook Pro i7 with the Nvidia M330 card (512MB), MacOS 10.6.5...
What else do you need to know?

What GPU does your laptop have, i think the M330 is actually a chipset, not a GPU.

Hi,
I think this might be an issue related to the new GPU you're using and the requirement of older 3.0 drivers for the demo version (which is beta 2.2 at this time)
If none of the drivers work you might have to wait until we make a version of beta 2.3 available with the new cuda 3.2 support.
As beta 2.3 is still in development, we don't have a demo version yet, it will be created when 2.3 is finished.

Same here,
2.4 GHz MacBook Pro GeForce 9400M/9600M GT
Installed as the tutorial shows, comes up with window saying I don't have CUDA, when I actually do (it's in the system preferences panel, actually says I should upgrade to latest 3.2 driver). I then installed XQuartz that worked with someone else, didn't do anything for me. I then upgraded the CUDA driver. It loads now but crashes when I open up anything.
Quite frustrating as I'd like to buy this if it actually works pretty well!
