I have a project with an animated landscape. Basically, it starts with everything at zero, and then I've animated the objects to their proper positions. (Most via move, but a few via Z-scale.) I've encountered a strange issue with objects that have displaced materials.
At the first keyframe (z=0), everything displaced wigs out. (See image "BUG") Eventually, it comes down to reality (see "flat"), and it ends fine at the last keyframe (see "raised"). Any ideas what is going on?

I'll double check, but I think it is 0.1%

It doesn't straighten out until Z is at about 50%

Why would I want the object's scale to affect the displacement? That's a material setting. I could animate that if I wanted to.
Bottom line at this point, I need the terrain to transition from flat to what I have modeled. Easiest way that occurred to me was to scale in Z. Is there another way I should go about it?
