Does selective material update work in IPR too ?

Nope, currently this feature is only working for F9/F10 rendering. I need to check if it works without side effects in the IPR.

Do you need this feature in the IPR? I could send to you a custom build with it to test it.

I do a lot of things with image sequences and I usually need 1 surface to update and this would speed up my workflow in IPR.

This is a build (2.22.4) of the last beta with the feature enabled also for the IPR. Remember that now if you have the selective materials update option enabled, you can only see in real time the changes in the materials of the selected objects by the Octane custom object plugin while working with the IPR.

I mean, you can edit all the materials in real time without problems in the IPR (enabled and not enabled objects), but you can't see the materials changes if they are animated while you scrub the timeline. I am not sure it is going to make your workflow faster.

Works good, and I can change current material and see the effect in the IPR even if that object doesn't have the custom plugin with material update enabled.

I am using v 2.22.3 apr. 6th and the image sequence updates in IPR just fine. But when I try and render out via F10 I do not get any update. I have tried adding the custom object plugin and checking Material Update...is there anything else I need to do to get the image sequence material to update during F10 renders?

If you are rendering in update mode, you need to enable the "update materials" option in the render target root node options panel.
