No version downloaded would start, an error message shows up and then the software quits. Even the 2.21.1 for which I don't have a license being a student trying to use the student license.
"OctaneRender 2.21.1 cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure OctaneRender 2.21.1 works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.
Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
Same message as per the 1.20.
Thanks in advance,
Massimo
Error message on startup
Please download and install the Mac CUDA Drivers from NVIDIA here:

If this does not fix the issue, please post the error log so I can investigate further.

Hi Hellguy and Beppe,
I'm on a MacBook Pro 15-inch Late 2011 equipped with an i7 2.2GHz and an AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB. Yosemite 10.10.2
Being the gpu a Radeon, I cannot make use of the Nvidia drivers and generally, I suppose, of the whole architecture around CUDA.
Is Octane a CUDA only renderer? If yes, I'm sorry for my slip.

hi massimmo,
as you already know, OctaneRender is based on Nvidia CUDA for now, but Otoy has just revealed that OctaneRender 3 will be also for ATI and Intel GPUs.
This don't happen tomorrow, but in a few months will should be able to play with Octane with any kind of hw, so stay tuned
