Multilayer and compressed EXR?

Hi everyone,

a quick question and maybe feature request.

Is there a possibility to generate a multilayer EXR in the Mayer plugin.
And even better a compressed one.

For now, each frame in 1080p resolution weights 32MB. Would there be a way to compress this natively from the octane plugin?
We did find a software that does it afterwards, but it is not very handy to say the least...

My solution to compressing is to convert the files with openImageIO. We don't use multi-channel. It not only saves space but the zips compressed files load a lot faster in comp aswell. The rendermanager we use converts the files every time a chunck is completed. I suppose you could perhaps do the same thing with a post-render mel script?
