To my understanding, it is a cpu-gpu language.. ..so, it makes the GPU memory requirements moot?
I may be completely wrong.

But all in all. OR3 is outstanding.

Hard to wrap my head around all the possibilities that can be done, soon.

Makes me think only one thing:

OR4 will be an actual stargate?

And for us Mac users, we could actually use recent Macs, like the dual AMD GPU Mac Pro.

   It is my understanding that you already have NDAs on file for a bunch of wonderful blokes who helped make 2.0 such a stable and phenomenal success. Maybe keep things simple - just let those same dudes do the 3.0 testing. ASAFP! ;)

PTEX!!!!! YES!!!! No more wasted UV space (or time wasted UVing). OpenVDB is gonna be awesome, don't have to use mantra anymore. Really interested to see what that texture baking can do in concert with nuke.

Im very happy.
