Trying to learn/teach myself grasshopper, pretty fun, if a little (read: a lot) mind blowing stuff...

anyway, after doing a few tutorials I wanted to get some pretty pictures out to make it all worthwhile. Its early stages, so each sphere is a separate piece of geometry (rather than an instance) and the attached image was 1800mb in VRAM, and SLOW to voxelise (30mill pols - need to adjust my settings I'm sure). Its was fun to play with though.

Next step for me is make the sphere an instance (so they're much lighter) and scale it up/down based on some other geometry, maybe create some 3D waves radiating inward from one corner. although I think im probably straddling the procedural instance toolset & grasshoppers toolsets here; so it may not work as I expect.

I'll grab the settings if anyone is interested; but its just a basic defuse material, with a HDR IBL and 64 samples on DL. Nothing special I assure you.
