Hello, I recentley purchased Octan for maya to run on a brand new PC.
The standalone works fine in all modes but in MAYA 2014 the plugin won't let me render in PMC mode and freezes maya.
Where can be the problem?
Is there a specific configuration for the grapic card driver?
By the way i find the render times rather slow (the benchtests says 167)
cheers
My Pc: Win 8 64 / 2 x GeForce GTX 970 / i7 4790K / 16GB
PMC for GeForce GTX 970

hi,
GTX 970 is Maxwell based card & Octane Render was optimized for this architecture just lately, so.. Octane Render Standalone (latest builds) might work just fine & plugins might not have latest might not be based on latest Octane build =) so with time it will work fine.
so, what's the workaround? work in PT. export scene as .orbx & continue work in Standalone (might not be the most elegant solution, but it's one of those - of course depending on how complex are Your scenes =)
p.s. make sure You have the latest build =)
