i'm just very cureous:
as far as I understand dumping the (compressed)(used) vram to disk in order to continue rendering later from the dump file should work. but you tell me, pls. too much work?

this would be extremely nice. Maxwell Render does this and I used to use the hell out of the feature! I could render something to a low sample level quickly during the day to get client approval while he as still in the office, then continue that same render in the evening/overnight without wasting the time spent rendering the initial one.
