İ have happened to come across with this list sent from my it guys. I'm just posting it here. obviously i am stuck betweeen zotac 780ti and evga980gtx has and extra gb of vram.

Definitely go with the 780ti. The 980 is great for gaming but not a great rendering card. Also, it is built on maxwell architecture which is new and not as well supported by Octane. The 780ti is a tried and tested great card for rendering with Octane. The 780ti will be faster and more reliable.
