I have license of Archicad plugin, blender plugin, and now I'm testing c4d plugin too (I'm architect and my workflow is modelling in Archicad and finishing in Blender o C4d) When I put a simple cube in Blender the shadow is totally diferente for a simple cube in c4d or Archicad. The shadow of blender is similar to a vertext paint while in C4D and Archicad the shadow is more uniform... why? If I make a sub surface the result is better...

Uncheck "Smooth" in the shader settings or add an Edge Split modifier to the object
