Hi! Is it possible exchange materials of scene with Live DB materials without use nodes?
For example.. I have exported from C4D a scene to Octane.. I have a complex scene with many objects.. I use select material eyedropper.. I have the material node..
I open the live DB material and I want apply a Metal material to select material founded wit eydropper..but not with the node interface.. but for example un apply function..?
Thanks in avant..

To my undestanding the short answer would be no.
You need to drop the material node to the node graph and attach it to the node mesh.

I hope this type of maneuvers are possible in the future!! the node graph is so limited...

Thanks..I think the same... It's very strange.. It's impossible in a complex scene use only the node system.. I hope in future too..
You have a nice day
