Hi
Apologies for posting this again (I posted originally on the Mac section but didn't seem to get much response) so I'm posting it here again to check if this is actually a Mac issue or an issue with Octane in general.
I've attached a short video to highlight the problem. The video was made using the demo version of Octane (I only have 1.55a so downloaded the demo in case this issue had been fixed in the latter versions).

In summary, when I load up a mesh on my computer ( a macbook pro 2013 with 2GB NVidea Graphics card), Octane seems to use up way more of the video memory than expected.
You can see In the video that the mesh is very small (about 5K) but Octane uses up half of the Video card memory when it starts to render. If the mesh is larger then I have much less memory to play with. Sometimes I'll load an export from DAZ studio for example (and the object size and textures will only be in total about 100MB) but I'll only have about 150MB left on the video card to load say an HDRI environment (and most HDRI environments are much larger!)

The issue is compounded in that if I close and restart Octane and then load the exact same mesh in again, Octane seems to use up even more memory than the previous time.

So, I was just wondering, can anyone else replicate this issue and if so, is there a known memory leak issue in Octane? Is this a Mac-only issue? Or is there some setting I haven't set that is causing this?

Hope someone can help
Many thanks
