Hi, looking for a definitive answer on if Octane is compatible with C4D's Render Queue before buying another C4D License.
Also wondering if rendering via the Render Queue is compatible with Octane Network render?

is the render queue working well on you?

I don't have an Octane C4d plugin license yet for my 2nd computer - so it doesn't work. Before purchasing another license I wanted to check if this feature is supported. Can you tell me if it is?
i asked not for networking. Just to know render queue well on your computer to render multiple scenes. If it can works well there is no reason to don't work bad on network. Because it works as picture viewer rendering, but in background.

Yes, render queue with Team Render works fine on my machines on non-octane scenes.
Ok, topic goes to confusion. Render queue and team render is not same things. I asked for octane scenes with render queue. I'll keep short the answer.
Yes, it works with render queue, team render, octane network render.

Sorry, yes render queue and octane work together on one machine just fine.
There is no need for another C4D Octane license if you are using the render queue. Just put a standalone license on your slave machines and use the octane network rendering (not team render).

Thanks jblessing - I wanted to compare render speeds between Octane Network rendering and C4d team rendering. For the scenes I am working on I am finding that team render is much faster, almost 2x the speed. It doesn't make much sense to me that that would be the case, so perhaps it is the kinds of scenes I am rendering - anyone else compared them?
We only have 1 C4D plugin license, so we can't test that. The time it takes on one machine vs using both (that have about the same GPU power), is about twice as fast (plus about 20-30 sec. to load before starting the first frame). From what I've done and read online, it seems if you have a scene that renders very quickly, maybe the speed difference would be from network transfer speeds and not render times. Try some other scenes and see if the speed difference remains.
