Hi I have a simple question,
step 1. I export the sketchup model using sketchup-plugin to octane standalone (save as *.ocs or *.orbx)
step 2. then i make some changes in standalone (like materials, camera position..etc)
step 3. Then I make some more changes in sketchup and export again
when i open the standalone all the changes made in step 2 is gone, is there a way to overcome this problem?

thank you in advance.

I am afraid your ocs scene is being overridden when you re export it. What I would recommend - build your geometry and UV it in Sketchup and then export it to the Standalone and apply texture nodes. I know it's painful. Especially that Bro is so busy and the plugin is not developed as it should. After 3 years with SU I switched to Modo...

thank you for your response, if I understand correctly, I cannot go back and forth between standalone and sketchup with the existing plugin?

oscartung,

SU scenes are not being synced up with exported ocs files. In order to import new sets of materials I'd recommend export materials to different folders to avoid overwriting.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply, if I am not mistaken I still need to manually reconnect the nodes everytime?

Not sure about that. Could you please describe the workflow again? Or provide screenshots/scenes so I could test?

Thank you.
