ram usage problems with octane

I am noticing that the same scene at the same resolution render fine in IPR but makes windows run out of memory with normal render ... i have 32 gb of memory and 6gb titAN.. is that behaviour right?
i precise i am using Beta release 2.20.1

Your problem can be that you are working with some render passes enabled. All this information needs to be stored in the GPU RAM, and if you are working with a lot of textures you can fill all the available RAM in the Titan.

Please, download the last beta http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=44731 and enable the Out-of-core textures rendering to see if this can help in your scene.

Or do you have problems with your system RAM? ... any Octane scene should be rendered with 32 GB of RAM without problems.

maybe but this problem occurs just in last versions of plugin though i dont remember from wich plugin version this problem arises

anyway the problem is with sistem ram not wit gpu ram...

Weird ... is it a very big scene?

Please, anyway install the last beta version and enable the out-of-core textures. With this feature enabled you get some new information about the Octane RAM usage, to see where is the problem.

i've done what u said, but that didnt solved the problem... the ram usage keep going up untill windows run out of memory.. the scene iS 3,5gb, i disabled render passes but the problem still remain... with IPR memory usage remaim stable at around 17 gb... with f9 it keep going up till system collapse,,, i precise the resolution is 1900 x 900 . not so much

Does your scene have a lot of instances, or hair, or objects with deformations and motion blur?

It is really strange ... the IPR and the final F9 rendering are the same, the only difference are the render passes and the MB in the instances and in the objects with deformations.

Can you please disable the MB in the scene?

i have checked they are already disabled
I will uncheck istances lets see what happen

When fills Octane all the system memory, while loading the scene or while updating the scene in the GPUs?
