hey :)

anyone with daz plugin using network rendering maybe? trying to build up a second rig with 3 more gpu next month and wanted to try if this is working with and older comp and gtx580

i installed the slave on second comp, seems to be running, slaveports set to 21001, masterport is 21000. ip range is adjusted correct, firewalls are disabled.

this is the running cmd on slave pc

and this one is from octane standalone on main pc then...

i cant find the slave in the menu... but you can see this "Using 1/1 GPUs" line down below in the main window. in the plugin it also cant be found/detected, so its not working for me... anyone got an idea what this issue could be or how to get it running?

I only can provide an idea:

The only thing I know about Network rendering with Octane is:

In the early days of Network rendering you needed to have installed a combination of the same version number of plugin AND standalone. :!:

Example: 2.15 plugin & 2.15 standalone
Basically network rendering was the only execption to the rule where having the same version number installed mattered...

I read in a very old post that that either the slave or master drivers for the network rendering were included in the standalone.

I do NOT know if this has changed in the meantime and now the drivers are backwards compatible or inlcuded in the plugin.
