When starting a renderer - let's say the GPU-info says 600 mb free memory.
Is the target image taken in consideration in this value? Is there more memory "to be eaten up" during render time?
About free VRAM...

I think the question was if the memory usage will go up as the render comes along and afaik that is not the case. Higher res uses more memory but that memomry usage is constant from the start of the render to the finish.
