Hi,
sorry for asking this again!
But just to be sure before ordering:
If I want to netrender on a second computer
I need a second/new "Standalone" and a second "C4D-Plugin", right?
And there is no discount for registered users for a second license
for doing networkrendering?
thanks
Mike

you don't need a plugin license if you don't use team rendering. Octane netrender need only a standalone on clients.

What is the difference between Team Render within Cinema 4D and net render using the standalone? Our company has 3 iMacs and we'd like to link them together for distributed rendering with Octane but we never use the standalone version, we work entirely in Cinema4D.aoktar wrote:you don't need a plugin license if you don't use team rendering. Will there be an advantage to using Team Render in that case?
First, hard to say which is better for you. But i can give some info about workflow.futoryan wrote:What is the difference between Team Render within Cinema 4D and net render using the standalone? You can render a single frame over all gpus in Octane's netrender. Also has another advantages. You don't need to worry about textures. It will send all data also textures to clients. Data preperation phase is handled by master and sends compiled data to clients. So clients will wait until Octane is ready to render. I think that this info enough to decide which is better.
