Has anyone experienced textures that do this? Sometimes the textures go to black and some frames are rendered as pink noise. Have a couple of project files that i'm experiencing this with.
I follow your posts. you seems that you are suffering by insufficient gpu and free vram. and i bet you don't aware of that. have you checked ever the free vram?

Yes i just purchased Octane and have been running into some issues. After doing some more research i ended up purchasing a couple of faster video cards and they are supposed to arrive today, hopefully that helps. The version i am running is 2.06.1. Not totally sure how to check how much Vram is free. In terms of the test file, is that referring to just a a rendered frame from my sequence? I've been in touch with Otoy support and i know they had requested an Octren file before.
Macosx users have similar problems. Because some of them have only one gpu with low vram, even OS consumes lot of vram.
Ex. macos can takes about 1gb or much ram, Octane only can use little ram. Check my images, i have 6gb 780 + 3gb 780ti together.
See how much big scene, lot of objects can fit to gpu. But you should carrefully optimise your scenes. See also marked areas. Don't go forward without understand that how is working the Octane and what's the limits and tricks. If you understand well, you'll be happier.
Without forget, please use a newer version. I advice the 2.16.x

Thanks for sending those screen caps aoktar. I'm hoping using two cards will solve some of my problems. I couldn't completely make out some of the descriptions in the second screen cap you had sent but i think i get the idea and will see what happens the next time i try to render.
Under my account and purchases i only see the 2.06.1 version. Is there an update somewhere for the Cinema plugin?

Np. I'm sure that will work as a dream. Everytimes you can find latest releases here in C4D forums. Top topics are newest releases. Someone can be a test release before marked as a stabile. My latest stabile is 2.16.2 with lot of improvements and fixes. Please grap your copy from here:

Thanks i'm looking forward to see how my renders will fare after the install. I actually already have 2.16 for the standalone version but i'm using the Cinema 4D plugin which is 2.06. Which is the latest version i believe.

Please fill your sign with version and hardware specs, you don't help to me for saving the time. Your scene may be simple but have several images. All is in vram of gpu. And it's clear that you have vram problems while rendering. What's your free vram, gpu model? version?
Use last version from link, also watch the videos and read the manual in links.
