among some other news noticed something =) & that might be true!
wrote few words about that for those who interested - Single Slot GTX

We can't use nice mobo's well because of fat cards. There is slot but can't use it because doesn't fit
What do you think, glimpse, about any way to bridge 7 of them on e.g. asus ws mobo with 7 pcie slots? There would be so little space between them for any fittings, I am afraid. Hope there is a solution for this. Water-cooling of course

honestly, I would love to see this happen! =) fittings might be an issue, but I think it should be possible! (on a capable motherboard, as 7 slots doesn't mean they are all working at the same time, but for sure ASUS have some cool mobos in that respect, not only brand new but also generation or two older - read for good price =)smicha wrote:What do you think, glimpse, about any way to bridge 7 of them on e.g. asus ws mobo with 7 pcie slots? yeah it's a pitty when Guys own insane pieces with hidden PCIe slots under fat GPUs..-hopefully EVGA will set the trend cutting out unnecessary DVIs & we'll see more and more higher end GPUs in single slot fashion!enigmasi wrote:We can't use nice mobo's well because of fat cards. That would be very nice, even if we use onyl 4 cards on MBO at least there would be some space between them so temperatures would be better

..pretty sure these are going to be watercool'ed models (maybe under hydrocooper range =)Lewis wrote:That would be very nice, even if we use onyl 4 cards on MBO at least there would be some space between them so temperatures would be better
but I can be wrong..
though aircooling out of the box would be interesting (haven't even though about it =)
here's an update (in the bottom)"As happy as I was [about SingleSlot ] as sad I become after some footage from CES 2015..
..– released as k|ngp|in edition GTX 980 , this model is targeted to extreme overlockers"

without Dry ICE or LN2 I wouldn't expect anything more than typical non reference design can show =) it's not meant to be used for water-cooling (unless You have too much money to blow =) defrost functionality for memory (if I remember good) hints the target usage =)smicha wrote:2x8+6 =![]()

Any reasonable (reason) why they put there so much power?
