Hi, I'm encountering a problem about materials.

In Blender, I have added some more frames on the walls in my scene by duplicating some of the previously modelled frames, but I forgot to create new materials.

Now, in Octane when I attempt to change the image in a frame, I change it also in an other frame sharing the same material

Is Octane, I tried to rename the material, but it returns at the original material name...

Is it possible to make a material unique on an object in Octane ?

Thanks in advance !

Sounds like you are going to have to give it a unique name in Blender and re-export. Or hack the .obj file (if possible).

Thanks you.

Well, I didn't want to get out of octane, but as it crashed I changed the things in Blender and I exported again to obj.

I have never looked into an obj file. Good idea ! I will give a look asap. I think that it is an xml file with obj extension, or similar. It is the case for indigo.igs files.

OBJ files are just plaintext no XML but really easy to work out what is what.
