Recently I bought X-Particles 2.5 and after playing around with it I would like to know how to edit te 'X-Particles Material' shader, so Octane regognizes it. Because until now I can't figure out how to render the particles with Octane.
I've seen some examples on Vimeo & X-Particles forum, but they use a tracer object and that results in a different effect. I just want to render small particles with Octane and turning on 'options > enable particle engine' works only for preview purposes, you can't texture or edit your particles.
Is there anybody who figgered this out?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
This support is experimental. Currently you can use octane materials over xp emitters. But don't expect xp material support. Because concepts are different. Also on video samples, i have used motionblur not tracer.

I've done a lot of experimentation with X-Particles and Octane recently, and have been able to use Octane for both particles and trails. But, admittedly, it is very basic stuff I've been doing. Just experimenting to figure out what I can and can't do, and how, and the caveats and limitations.
