Hi all,

I have some geometry which is animated by an audio file.

The Octane IPR works fine, but these animated pieces of geometry don't show up in Batch render.

cheers.

Hi prodviz,

As it's working in IPR I'm assuming the geo is set to movable or reshapable proxy.
Are the animated pieces of geometry not showing at all in the batch render or are they just not moving?
What are you using to drive the animation from the audio file. Is it a script or plugin?
Can you bake the animation to key's if all else fails?

Hi TBFX,

yeah, the geometry is set to movable proxy and updates/moves in the IPR as you scrub through the timeline.

The animated pieces don't show up at all in batch render.
The non animated pieces render ok.

I'm using the audio node, which is in the MayaBonusTools.
I'm connecting this to the Y translate of some small cubes to make an equalizer type animation.

I hadn't thought of baking. That might work.

cheers.
