ok,

so I'm trying to fight this noise
would like some help please

i rendered a image DL / 19500 samples the image had minimal noise, but DL is not for interiors.

Then i went to PT / 5000 samples as i had gone through the gallery and seen people doing interiors like that so i went ahead.

2.5 hours later

Image

Do i have to set PT to close to 20,000?

This is my FIRST octane render, So excuse me if I'm asking something stupid.

Where do i find light importance?

also can't seem to get lights working, and from what i searched you have to use materials? i might be wrong though but thats what I've searched and found.

the parameter You're looking is in Diffuse material > Blackbody Emission > Sampling Rate - basically You have to make it bigger so engine would calculate samples of this light faster..Just leave environment & other big lights as they are.

I'm using c4d plugin and no lights work unless they are material lights.

Thanks Glimpse always helpful :)

Would i lose any quality going about this route? or should i just bump up sample rate?

Did you try to reduce GI clamp substantially?
