Converting Lights?
Yes, you need to substitute the lights with emitter planes or other objects. I think that Sighman considered some sort of automatic substitution, but an object's brightness is a combination of the emitter shader settings and also the size, leading to a lot of complications. Plus you can often use less lights in Octane than an equivalent Poser or DS scene (or indeed Carrara) as you are not having to correct for non-physically correct lights and render settings.
