Hi,

as the title says, I am looking for a way to export an octane material from the standalone to modo.
I have tried saving it in the localdb but modo wont recongize it. Is this possible somehow?

Thanks

Got it figured out. I had to upoload it to the live DB and then update the liveDB inside of modo.

To make this easier, I will include a function to import/export from the Standalone LocalDb from the next release of the Modo plugin.

Is it easier to make the materials in the Octane standalone? I don't think I ever even really opened it. I would be interested to try it though. Do they have a texture default or anything? Also, does it transfer well when you do export it?

Probably not "easier" - but about the same. There is no texture default. Everything should transfer except the Octane Gradient node.
