Hi guys,
Im trying to convert to DAZ form Poser. I got the 2.0 plugin this week and I am stuck on some simple things. First is there a manual I can go through?
The most basic question I have is how do I create a light in DAZ, in poser i used the Octane script to convert - in DAZ is there one, or do i make primitives then set diffuse, emissions etc...
Any really good basic tutorials out there showing the basics of the plug in?
thanks

Hi bpzen,
For the manual, I suggest you read the standalone Octane manual. That is what I did to learn what is possible in Octane. As the DAZ plug-in is pre-beta, I think they will get to it only after they at least release a beta version or a Release Candidate version.
For the lights, you will need to add primitives and then set Diffuse and emissions. For these primitives you can set the opacity in Octane to 0, so they will not appear in the Octane render but still emit light. In DAZ they will still be visible so you will be able to easily position them.
I think in DAZ you can use scripts to create a primitive and place it where the DAZ lights are, but I haven't tried it yet. If you are familiar with scripting, you can give it a try.
Cheers,
Rajib
