I have an object modeled with Maya where the default is Open SubD. I have applied the Octane object properties to the model and set 3 subdivisions.
This is what happens on F10 render..

It's a bit random where it appears. Some times in the middle of the mesh, other times it's on some other part of the mesh.
It's all quads, and some tris. No n-gons.

EDIT: Oh my goodness. My mistake. I forgot to set subdivision from the default 3 to 0 in the object properties.

Hmm.. It has appeared again, even though the subdivisions for both display and render have been set to 0. I have no idea why it's happening. It appears at random places. Looks like some vertices or polygons are stretched out like crazy, and it maintains this stretch through the entire render range.

Perhaps you have some kind of not valid geometry for SDS in the object, things like very small or null polygons, polygons with two or more vertex in the same place, etc.

If you want to send me a object with this problem I could test it here.
