I have two objects itoo forest and a container (regular mesh) grouped and they are GROUPED and then LINKED to the wagon that is traveling. Also camera is linked to the wagon. So the only thing that should have motion blur are railroad wooden beams. But here you can see that wagon is ok no motion blur but container and itoo forest have but they are traveling at the same speed as the wagon and the camera so they should have no motion blur.
Second image shows linked ittoo forest and container to the wagon but camera is NOT linked. So basically wagon is passing by the camera that carries container with itoo forest plant and here container and itoo forest do NOT have motion blur. Seems like these two cases should be reversed.
Please note itoo and container are GROUPED because if Itoo forest is linked to the container and container is liked to the wagon trees start moving (PLEASE SEE VIDEO what happens when itoo forest is linked and not grouped to the container) So really the group that hold container and itoo forest is linked to the wagon and octane cannot do motion blur on groups?
Thanks

I'm sorry but we cannot solve the problem either.
The implementation of Forest for each renderer is different, but in case of Octane we only provided to Otoy an interface to get the properties of Forest items.
They wrote the full implementation for their engine. I have not idea how Octane handles motion blur, or why Forest is treated in a different way.

I hope you guys can fix the itoo forest motion blur bug in octane
Thank you!

Octane can't have full support 3rd party plugins. It can't have proper API because it is a gpu render.coilbook wrote:I have two objects itoo forest and a container (regular mesh) grouped and they are GROUPED and then LINKED to the wagon that is traveling.
