It there any soft where Octane plugin could be used for texture baking? Where I could bake scattered small details into a low poly shells with AO, HDR Lighting etc. Maybe Blender, Max or something?

As game dev, this is probably the only feature that forces me to keep VRay.kirk wrote:It there any soft where Octane plugin could be used for texture baking? Where I could bake scattered small details into a low poly shells with AO, HDR Lighting etc. Maybe Blender, Max or something?
I would LOVE if Octane could be able to bake textures, but I have no idea if it's possibile for a GPU renderer to do so.

As I've said before, for WebGL this would rock. Obviously game folk would use the hell out of this too. Please add... But maybe after volumetrics/particle fx.

Do you find VRay good for texture baking? I once tried it years ago with 3d max render-to-texture tool and It didn't seems any better/quicker than mental ray. Should i try it again? Is it really that good?

Xnormal doesn't do anti aliasing while in gpu mode. By the way, looks like Blender Cycles also can use gpu for texture baking. Pretty slow although No AA either.
