Hello,

Has anyone done any testing on render times between the modo plugin and standalone version.

I have a scene that I rendered at 4000 samples using path tracing and it took the plugin around 5min45s, while the same file which I saved out as a .orbx and read into 2.1, was around 6min23s.

Running a pc, with one 780 ti.

I thought the standalone would have been quicker. Have to say that I'm actually enjoying using the standalone more. Not sure why but maybe I'm seeing more tutorials that are helping me understand the UI better.

The Modo plugin and Standalone should render at the same speed. It's possible you have the render priority of your card set lower in Standalone than Modo, which could explain the difference.
