I am not sure if this is modo plugin specific or octane being octane but when I turn on daylight system and have glass in my windows, I can't get shadows from the light. But if I take the glass out I can. I swear I tried every setting I could think of, still kind of new to octane. But I also tried all 3 rendering kernels as well as many options. Here are some screenshots, the one with the hard shadows is the one without glass.

Thanks!

Yes, tick Fake Shadows. They are OFF by default.

I can't find that. Is that in the plugin somwhere? I only have alpha shadows and I tried turning that on and off for all the kernels... Could you tell me where the fake shadows option is?

Fake Shadows is the last checkbox in the Specular material settings.
