region selection not visible

Hi Paul,

The region delection used to bo visible on screen by a red line, am I not correct.
it is not there anymore?
Did you have a good reason, because I miss it.
When I have dragged a selection I cannot see it and then I am sure what I am doing, untill the rendering is progressing for a while and I can see the difference in relation to outside the selction.
