Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble getting network rendering to work in 3ds max 2014.
I've seen several people with the same problem on the forum but I couldn't find a solution..

In the network preferences within 3ds max, I can see my slave Daemon, but the name is unknown, it reads 0 GPU devices and the status is set on unavailable.

I have 2 standalone licenses (2.06 version), one for the master and one for the slave and the 2.04 3ds max plugin version installed.
The slave daemon is installed properly and all the GPU drivers are up to date.

Within the standlone version of Octane, network rendering works just fine and the slave daemon is available and reads the slave GPU.
Only in 3ds max I can't get it to work.

Any suggestions are very welcome!
Cheers,

Dario

Hi Dario,

The version of the network master (3DS max plugin or the standalone) should match exactly. Your 2.04 plugin will not work with a 2.06 slave. That's also the reason why it does work with the standalone (they are both 2.06). You should download an updated version of the plugin.

cheers,

Hi Thomas,
thanks for your reply.
I was thinking about that before, but I can't find a 2.06 version from the client download page..
It seems I can only download the 2.04 or am I missing something?
Cheers
