liveDB materials converted to LW presets
Moderator: juanjgon
Sorry, currently the LightWave plugin doesn't support the LiveDB materials. I am working on this feature, but it is really a hard task due to some limitations in the LW nodal architecture. Anyway I hope to have good news about this feature along the 2.x development cycle.

It would be easier for us to convert LiveDB presets if we had access to any images they use. Can you lobby OTOy to make these available at least?

I found this from Juanjo
You can't import the .orbx in Lightwave yet, but in the Standalone if you download a material from LiveDB and later you save the scene, Standalone is also going to save the images available in the materials.

You can save the LiveDB materials for later use, but only in Standalone. Yes the images are saved with the material, but not in a way that you can access them. If you're going to convert the material for use in Lightwave, you need to have the material to load into Lightwave.
