I ve been having before lots of problems with CUDA 700 errors, especially for animation rendering. And now it is back again. It does not mater how cool i keep the system, i got 1500W-1600W PSUs, how low I downclock.

It is always on Device 0 because by default CUDA kernels execute only on device 0. I read nvidia chooses device 0 as your fastest card. My 4 fastest cards are in turbo box 780TIs and main pc has 2 slower titans. Is there any way to make one of the titans as device 0 maybe that will stop from cuda errors since turbobox is connected with PCI cables, etc.

And here is another guy that had problems with CUDA errors excepts he renders with iRay .His fix was a patch from autodesk. can this be software also not just hardware since it freezes ALWAYS at the end
Thank you

"Lately I keep getting this error, about 40min-1hr into a render.:

IRAY 0.22 1470 MB error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GTX TITAN): unknown error (while launching CUDA renderer)
IRAY 0.22 1470 MB error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GTX TITAN): Failed to launch renderer
IRAY 0.22 1470 MB error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GTX TITAN): Device failed while rendering
IRAY 0.22 1344 MB error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GTX TITAN): de-initialization failed
IRAY 0.22 1344 MB error: CUDA device 0 (GeForce GTX TITAN): unknown error (while de-allocating memory)"

His fix:
"Installed the Service Pack 3. Problem solved. "

I've got two 780Ti, each gives me this error. Surprisingly enough latest beta builds (2.12) are more stable than "stable" ones (2.06)

It's a shame to have to sit through the night relaunching render every ten frames. Restarted the PC, kind of helped... Still... sometimes it just boggles my mind. PSU is 1kW, T' is at 60 Deg max. why does it crash?
//Be aware, I'm using C4D. The bug might not be plugin related.
