R16 and hair

I have been trying most of the day to render out some hair in R16 and I could for the life of me not get it to work. It showed up fine in the live viewer but not as a final render in the picture viewer.
I have read every thread I could find on this board and downloaded many of the example scenes posted, but nothing renders in picture viewer.
Then I tried opening some of the files in R15 and it worked! No problems rendering hair in R15.

Is this a known issue with R16 or am I missing some settings?

i have checked now. Yes, you're correct. It does not works as expected. Something should be uncompatible here, i have to investigate problem.
