High bit depth renders and exr

Is there a way with the Maya plugin to render out to a higher bit depth than 8-bit? The standalone version has 16-bit PNG and 32-bit EXR, so I assume the engine supports it.

Yep, set to 16 bit Tiff or other 16 bit format. You'll get a 32 bit file.
