HDR with different background plate

Hi all,

is it possible to add a separate background plate to a scene lit with an HDR.

I've tried an image in the Sky Texture.

If you mean like an image plane or the background image in the standalone then no I don't believe it is possible in the Maya plugin right now,

I wonder what the sky texture slot is for?

That is so you can mix an HDRI with the sun light.
