Hi all,
I have downloaded the new plug in after a while I didn't use Octane, all seems to work fine but after a crash, the cameras in the scene break and the gamma doesn't work anymore, all the next renders will look with a wrong gamma. I tried to reboot, create new cameras and so on but nothing. I started my scene from scratch and it worked but then also the new one crashed after a batch render and now is corrupted too.
any ideas?
Gamma breaks

Hi Prodviz,
thanks for the reply! Do you mean in postproduction? Ideally I'd like to adjust it into my camera settings, but, no matters what I set in the gamma field, the image looks always the same, super contrasted. Not sure about the exposure but it wouldn't look as the original render I have set before the scene crashed/get corrupted.

Hi Mauriko,
I've only tweaked the exposure in Maya's camera so far.
Just a thought on your contrast issue (and I'm sure you're aware of this), but Maya's IPR is set at a default of Gamma 1. Have you tried changing this to 2.2.
I haven't had success with tweaking the gamma in the camera either. What I mean is, the gamma in the camera settings doesn't seem to affect the render.
cheers.
edit:
taking the HDR down to half strength is about right too.
Jim, is this a bug?

Hey Prodviz,
you are right, setting the gamma in maya IPR window (you know the new slider for real time exposure and gamma tweaks) brought back the render as it was before the crash. Still, weird that, before the crash, IPR windows worked correctly at 1 and gamma slider in the camera parameters was behaving correctly. Now it is broken, if I change value nothing happens in the IPR. Also the batch render output correctly like the IPR set at gamma 2.2. Maybe a bug. But I am glad you pointed at a work around!
Thanks Prodviz once more!!!
